ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN
Job Description:
Crescent Systems, Inc (CSI) – a customized hardware/software engineering company headquartered in Richardson, TX seeks an experienced Electronics Technician. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with run test procedures on assembled hardware and on integrated software and hardware systems experiences. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and participate in the entire program life-cycle from design, development, integration, testing, validation, and installation support. They will also provide technical assessments estimates for new programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform RMAs on hardware units returned to CSI
Assemble and install cables and hardware
Maintain lab cable drawings and interconnect documentation
Inventory, track and characterize issues with hardware in labs
Maintain organization of equipment and lab space
Order equipment and supplies as well as ship and receive hardware
Install and maintain basic computer configurations
Qualifications:
Technical Associates Degree in Electronics or the combination of education and experience
5+ years of related experience in hardware and cable debugging, assembly, modification, installation, and repair
Experience in MIL 38999 and D-Sub cable assembly
Experience in cable routing and installation (IPC-620)
Experience in troubleshooting/repairing hardware and able to communicate technical details accurately, both orally and written
Skill in soldering of cables and PCB components
Proficiency with test equipment including multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power meters, and protocol analyzers
Understanding of electrical serial interfaces such as RS-422, RS-232, and USB
Proficiency in office software including Microsoft Visio
Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings and configuration management systems
Strong organizational skills with an ability to establish priorities and proceed with objectives without supervision
Ability to lift and/or move over 50 lbs
Must be a U.S. citizen and ability to hold DoD security clearance
