CAD LIBRARIAN
Job Description:
Crescent Systems, Inc (CSI) – a customized hardware/software engineering company headquartered in Richardson, TX is looking for an experienced CAD Librarian. This CAD Librarian will be responsible for managing the part databases in both Zuken’s E3 and OrCAD’s Cadence. The ideal candidate is a self-started and detail-focused individual with prior experience managing CAD libraries/databases. The CAD Librarian will support the team of electrical, mechanical, and test engineers to design and produce military aerospace equipment.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Qualifications:
Gatekeeper for ensuring only complete and accurate parts are loaded into the database
Reviews and updates existing components in the databases to align with policies/standards
Focal point to create and manage symbols and footprints for Electrical, Electronic, Electromechanical (EEE) parts in OrCAD’s Cadence database
Create and manage symbols for EEE parts in Zuken’s E3 database
Prepares/verifies EEE part attribute information for entry into library database
Interface with Electrical and Test Engineers on part requests and model verification
Influence library decisions, strategy, and document tool to specific library standards
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of demonstrable success in managing part database/libraries
Experience with collaboration in a team environment, prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result, prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplishing them simultaneously, and comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions
Detail-oriented and focused and possess a strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite
Must have a basic understanding of cable design concepts such as splices, shielding, connectors, etc.
Ability to understand and interpret component drawings and specifications to produce accurate part database records
Knowledge and understanding of EEE component types, including function and standard schematic symbols
Must be a U.S. citizen, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance is required
