PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST
Job Description:
Crescent Systems Inc., (CSI) – a custom hardware/software engineering company headquartered in Richardson, TX, is seeking a talented Procurement Specialist. The Procurement Specialist will support all procurement aspects for CSI and will be responsible for, and perform as necessary, the daily activities associated with procuring materials & services, receiving material, invoicing, qualifying vendors, tracking purchases, and various other aspects related to supply chain management. The ideal candidate will have a background in procurement and manufacturing operations. It is important that the Crescent Systems Procurement Specialist/Buyer views their role as an important team member in the production of hardware and software products.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have 2-3 years of supply chain management, procurement and/or manufacturing operations experience.
Direct experience to ensure contractual requirements are met in all issued purchase orders.
Primary user of the software tools associated with procurement and manufacturing operations.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Proficiency using MS Office suite of programs to include MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
Trusted agent and responsible for procurement activities and actions to ensure company success.
Experience working directly with Engineering to determine receiving inspection requirements.
Current Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance.
