
SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Job Description:
This role is for a Senior Electrical Engineer with knowledge of LRU and module-level design and testing in the aerospace industry. Responsibilities include leading a multi-disciplinary team in developing requirements and designs for electronic circuit cards, modules, and LRUs to meet program design goals. Evaluation of supplier qualification process/criteria, evaluation of test plans, and assist with the calculation of part-level reliability.
The role of Senior Electrical Engineer requires experience with design verification through simulation, laboratory testing, and formal qualification to electrical and mechanical environmental requirements and EMI/EMC compliance requirements. Design support is continuous from requirements definition through integration and test, maintenance of design documentation, and configuration management throughout the product lifecycle. Responsibilities also include providing technical procurement specifications, assisting in the management of suppliers, and mentoring and supervising task level duties assigned to junior electrical engineers.
Minimum Qualifications:
BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in defense/aerospace LRU design and verification
Experience with designs and methods used to meet EMI/EMC requirements associated with MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464 and TEMPEST requirements
A strong knowledge of aircraft electrical power systems and MIL-STD-704
General knowledge of electrical design CAD tools such as Cadence and Zuken
Candidate must be able to collaborate in a team environment, prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result, prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplishing them simultaneously, and comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions
Candidate must possess a strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Must be a U.S. citizen and ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance is required
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of designing for TEMPEST compliance
Working experience with JAMA for requirements management
Current Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance
